Carcar is nice! The City of Carcar is one of the developing cities of Southern Cebu. As a fifth class component city of Cebu Province, Carcar is known for its preserved rich culture of Cebu from the Spanish colonial era. One of the remnants of Spanish culture influences their modern-day architecture. That’s why you can see a lot of Spanish colonial-era houses still standing in Carcar City. Aside from rich culture, Carcar City offers a variety of food that showcases the gastronomic culture of Cebu for the whole world. The New Carcar City Center
In another mileage of Carcar City, they recently opened their new Carcar City Center, including the newly opened Carcar City Public Market, Carcar City Terminal and their massive Carcar City Sports Complex. The P150 million Terminal project is not yet fully complete. It is a promising project to manage the traffic situation of Carcar City and to create convenience for public transportation.
The Carcar City Sports Complex sets to become another venue for a sports-related event in Cebu soon. This 4.6-hectare project was started in 2018 and finally lunch on December 15, 2021. It is a proud project by the government of Carcar City and it will host different sports activities next year or as soon as the pandemic situation will be done. For now, the Carcar City Sports Complex is open for public use. The newly open sports complex is composed of 1.3 hectares of Oval for running, Grandstand, Soccer field, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
Carcar City is one of the cities of Cebu that offers a variety of cultures and world-class infrastructures for the public. The City Mayor of Carcar, Hon. Mercedita Apura, also share her promises for her Carcaranons to expect more development projects such as Livestock Auction Market, road development projects for all barangays in Carcar City, and different projects to create livelihood and progress.
